Independence 08

This project was a re-deck in Independence MN. We were able to pull the old cedar decking off and re-use the framing and wrap all of the joists with a rubber membrane called vycor. This helps prevent further wear of the original 2x10's by sealing the tops where most wood rot happens. We used Timber Tech decking with Timber Tech composite rails. White aluminum balusters by decorator were used to accent the deck and co-inside with the house trim. Timber Tech hidden fasteners were used to attach the decking and give that smooth finish on top. A custom gate was added at the top of the stairs to keep kids and dogs either on or off the deck.
